The itel S24, successor to the S23 is coming to Zimbabwe soon. Itel has just launched the phone globally, on the 29th of March. The notable thing about this phone is the camera and processor. I
itel S24 108mp Camera
The itel S24 boasts a whopping 108-megapixel main sensor, a significant upgrade from the 48-megapixel sensor found on the previous S23 model. This makes it an attractive option for capturing high-quality photos without breaking the bank.
The processor, a Helio G91 has an updated ISP that natively supports 108-megapixel cameras. This is why it has a 108-megapixel ISOCELL HM6 main camera.
However, it’s important to remember that megapixel count isn’t everything. Software processing and lens quality also play a crucial role.
Storage and RAM
As with the S23, the itel S24 is available in two RAM configurations: 4GB and 8GB. It also comes with a 128GB and 256GB storage options.
It’s now standard on itel phones that there will be virtual RAM so expect to be able to doble that RAM on the phones virtually..
Battery and Charging
The itel S24 packs a 5000mAh battery, the same capacity as its predecessor. This generous capacity should provide ample power for a full day’s use on a single charge for most users in Zimbabwe.
The phone supports 18W fast charging, allowing for quicker top-ups compared to traditional chargers. While not the fastest charging solution on the market, 18W should be sufficient for most users.
Performance
The itel S24 has a Helio G91 processor, which is 4G-only processor based on the Helio G85 and G88.
Under the hood, the itel S24 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G91 processor, capable of handling everyday tasks and light gaming. This is 4G-only processor based on the Helio G85 and G88.
Display & Design
The itel S24 features a 6.6-inch HD+ (1612 x 720 pixels) LCD display. While it doesn’t offer the sharpest resolution compared to some itel phones like the itel P55 with its Full HD+ display, the 90Hz refresh rate ensures smoother scrolling and transitions for a more responsive user experience.
The phone utilizes a punch-hole design for the front-facing camera, maximizing screen real estate. The bezels around the display might be a bit thicker compared to high-end phones, but that’s common for budget smartphones.
The S24 will be available in three color options: Starry Black, Dawn White, and Coastline Blue, offering a touch of personality for Zimbabwean users.
Itel S24 Pricing in Zimbabwe
It’s always difficult to predict the price of a phone that’s not available yet locally. However we should expect the same retail range as it’s predecessor, that is from $110 to about $150.
